The US Virgin Islands are located directly in the Atlantic hurricane belt, with the hurricane season stretching from early June to November. Much of the US Virgin Islands is as far away as New York City, New Jersey and Florida.

The weather in Saint John is warm but not scorching hot, as the water is pleasantly cool and there is a lot of rain and snow in the winter months of December, February and March.
